The FELIPE package is inexpensive; an individual licence costs just GBP 250 (250 Pounds Sterling). Use the Felipe cost converter at the foot of this page, to convert to your own currency). Note that all licences are a one-off fee, for use of the package indefinitely. There are no royalties for commercial use. The price includes the graphics pre- and post-processors and 'main engines' as executables, plus fully-commented Fortran77 source code of all finite element 'main engines' and subroutines.
Purchasers receive the software by email as a zip attachment (also can be supplied on diskette), plus the 100-page manual by post describing the pre- and post-processors as well as the theory and programming in the main engines ELAST.FOR, POISS.FOR and FRAME.FOR. The Manual also covers the equation solution and storage algorithms, and the example datafiles. Appendices summarize the theory and programming of finite element elasto-plasticity, elasto-viscoplasticity, etc for the Advanced-level 'main engine' applications.
In the Standard FELIPE installation, the pre- and post-processors are dimensioned for 9,999 elements, 30,000 nodes. Note that you can adjust the array dimensions in the DIMENSION statement in each "main engine", according to your needs, and re-compile the source code.
An Individual Licence (for a named user on one PC) costs GBP 250 (250 Pounds Sterling, payment in Sterling only), as a one-off fee.

Licence agreement
A Dept Licence allows installation on up to 20 PC's in a single location, including by delivery from a central server. It also includes a copy of the LaTeX source file for the manual, so that this can be customized to contain information appropriate to the Dept's computer system and the course.
A Site Licence, for an additional annual fee, allows installation/delivery to an unlimited number of machines at an institution. It also allows copies of the package to be distributed to employees and students for installation on their home PC's; it can thus be used for distance-learning courses.

On receipt of payment, I will prepare your personalized copy of FELIPE and email it to you as a zipfile attachment.
A copy of the User Manual will then be despatched by First Class / airmail. If you need a copy
of the program on diskette, this can also be included.
All this should normally be completed within 5 working days of payment being credited.
For a Dept or Site Licence, please email me with your requirements. It is possible for some aspects of the programs to be customized, e.g. in the maximum number of elements permitted in mesh.
